COURSE DESCRIPTION

LEARNING OBJECTIVE
Provide the participant  with knowledge of managing and administering a SiteCom Enterprise environment. This includes information about automatic failover, infrastructure requirements, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting. Give an understanding of the SiteCom Enterprise architecture, and the benefits of SiteCom Enterprise.

Note that if you want to install SiteCom Enterprise you will need to complete the FSE III course.

TARGET GROUP

IT Managers, Drilling Managers, personnel who benefits from the use of SiteCom or require knowledge of SiteCom.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Very good IT knowledge and experience in managing the Windows Server platform and IT Networks


CONTENT

  • Introduction to SiteCom Enterprise

  • SiteCom software suite, databases and data management configured in an Enterprise setup

 LEARNING PROCESS
The training will be a combination of eLearning, theoretical lectures and practical exercises. During the course, each participant must have his own computer with Windows 7 or higher.


SPECIAL INFORMATION

This course is based on blended learning, meaning that it will be a mix of eLearning and classroom/lab activities to pass the full course.

The course documentation is written in English and the course will be held in English, unless otherwise agreed.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

Provide participants with knowledge of how to administer/manage a SiteCom Discovery installation including the ability to create new public displays, understanding the different user access levels, and the data export and import functionality.

Note that if you want to install SiteCom Discovery you will need to complete the FSE Level I course.

Operations Managers and/or IT Managers/Personnel.


ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Good IT knowledge and understanding of the workflow in the company that SiteCom Discovery is being used.


CONTENT

  • Introduction to SiteCom Discovery

  • Configure the system parameters affecting all Discovery users

  • Construct a new display template for all users

  • Export and import display files

  • Import curves from Excel, ASCII, LAS

  • Configure, upload and download using SiteCom native File Transfer capabilities

  • You will be able to perform fundamental tasks in Discovery Web

Advanced Discovery Web, please ensure you have taken Module 103 Introduction to SiteCom Discovery (Discovery Web) before you take this one.

  • Import & Export data in SiteCom Discovery
  • Know about access
  • Know how to use Wizard
  • Know what unit type to select
  • Know the purpose of import templates
  • Be able to use the different data editors in SiteCom Discovery
  • Understand the differences between the data editor for each WITSML Object type.
  • Understand the purpose of file transfer
  • Be able to use session tracking functionality


Course Objectives:

  • Understand all Discovery Web™ hardware and software requirements.
  • Know how to install Discovery Web™ servers and connect them to a WITSML data source.
  • Understand Discovery Web™ server-side configuration parameters.
  • Know how to troubleshoot Discovery Web™.

Course Objectives:


  • Understand what the unit conversion folder is and why it is required.
  • Understand and be able to modify each part of the unit conversion folder.
  • Understand and be able to modify or create Status mappings and Lithology mappings.


Course Objectives:

    1. Understand what the MnemonicSet is and why it is required.
    2. Understand and be able to modify each part of MnemonicSet.
    3. Understand and be able to modify the folder called Unitconverionxml.
    4. Understand and be able to modify or create Status mappings and Lithology mappings.
